A popular inner city community in Calgary has undergone its fair amount of change in recent years. Since 1999 Bridgeland in Calgary has changed substantially. Once home to Calgary’s General Hospital and German and Italian descendants now Bridgeland is robust with condo developments and trendy shops, cafes and restaurants. The old hospital was in bad need of serious renovation in order to have been deemed safe, far more work than was worth doing and so the decision of implosion was inevitable. Continue reading
